The Fifth Season
♫ Akanishi Jin
Back in mid-February, Johnny’s soloist Akanishi Jin had announced during a press conference that he is to collaborate with American R&B star, Jason Derulo for his debut U.S. single. After months & months (very nearly a year) of waiting, it has been announced that the song, titled “TEST DRIVE featuring. Jason Derulo” will be a digital release, and is set to be officially released on 8 November 2011. You can check out “TEST DRIVE” over HERE.
As a hugeee fan of KT & of course, Jin as well, I cannot be more thrilled that Akanishi will finally be receiving some more attention in the U.S. market. It’s a tough music industry there, especially for Asian artists, but Jin seems to be steadily climbing up the ladder. I don’t think “TEST DRIVE” is particularly amazing though, since it’s just one of those R&B kinda dance track. What I do think is good is that Jin’s pronunciation has truly improved. The man went from Jinglish to actually pretty decent English pronunciation & I’m just crossing my fingers now that he’ll do well on the charts.
Fans, also look forward to Jin’s new mini-album which will be released in Japan (in CD-format) on 7th December this year. Jin’s debut album will be released next year in America as well. Busy Jin is busy.

I can’t stop listening to that clip of Jin’s Test Drive and I had the weirdest thought
What if Jin’s English single does so well that one day Glee covers it?!
I wouldn’t know how to handle that!
